Our company has expanded its machinery park with another independent line for extrusion of plastic profiles. The line will extrude thermo-fusible inner tubes and pre-tubes for the production of heat shrinkable outer tubes. The line is equipped with the most modern equipment that allows you to control almost all parameters of the extruded material. Laser scanners control the diameter of the extrudate with an accuracy of 5 µm in two planes. The investment will allow us to increase the production of heat-shrinkable fiber optic splice casings from 5 to 10 million casings per month.
Our company has been invited to the international project of building a new generation telecommunications satellite that provides 5G technology. As part of the project, we were asked to provide V15 fiber optic splice protectors. The protectors have been tested for durability in space conditions. All tests passed and were approved for use. 5G satellite technology will enable data transfer where it has not been possible before, e.g. in mountainous areas or in developing countries.
The necessary equipment for each laboratory, which is a climatic chamber, is already at the disposal of production engineers in our company. The climatic chamber of the German company Feutron allows us to simulate the operating conditions of our protectors at temperatures from -75 ° C to + 180 °C. An additional function of the chamber is the possibility of testing our products in relative humidity conditions from 10 to 95%. The very high quality of our products is of utmost importance to us.
